Introduction
I am an accomplished illustrator, designer, animator, and production artist working freelance in the commercial arts.
My areas of expertise include publication design; pre-press and production for print; web site design and production; character and graphics animation; editorial and product illustration.
I have been working in the industry for over twenty-one years and in New York City since 1996. During my career I have acquired a wide base of design and technical skills. This broad range of experience gives me the ability to contribute to any phase of a commercial design project from the development of the initial concept to the creation of the final product.
This experience has also provided me the organizational and motivational skills necessary to cultivate a smooth working environment. I have the technical and personal skills to assist and encourage my project teammates in reaching our common goals and deadlines and can both take and give direction.
I have extensive experience with the following software applications on both the Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows platforms:
- Quark Xpress
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Dreamweaver (web site development and management), Flash (web site animation, video, and rich media content), and Fireworks (web-oriented graphics)
- Toon Boom Studio (2-D character animation for web and broadcast video)
- Painter (computer-generated, natural media illustration)
- 3D StudioMax (3-D modeling and animation for broadcast video)
- MySQL Database Server and PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (database-driven, dynamic site content and web browser-based content management)
- Macintosh and Microsoft Windows system configuration, maintenance, and networking.
